Will Well-Beyond Healthy Peanut Butter Cups cross contaminate our other products?

Well-Beyond takes all necessary precautions to prevent cross contamination. Our Healthy Peanut Butter Cups will be produced on the same machines as some of our other products. Although these machines are cleaned thoroughly after each production, it is required that the allergy warning “may contain peanut or peanut oils” be present on the packaging.

The Well-Beyond Canadian X Power Squares packaging is missing the Kosher symbol. Is it no longer kosher?

There was a misprint on this particular packaging, however the product is still kosher. See the kosher certificate link below, and also available in the Library in the Back Office.

What steps are taken to ensure there is no contamination of our products?

Well Beyond Healthy Peanut Butter Cups are received protected by three layers of package, individual cup flow wraps, caddie/display and corrugate shipper case. Each display has complete allergen alerts that all consumers with allergies look for.

Do Well-Beyond products have an expiration date?

Each product has a “best by” date indicated on the packaging. However, the products can last well beyond the “best by” date when stored in ideal and consistent temperatures.

How are Well-Beyond products processed?

Well Beyond is committed to using quality ingredients in order to provide the highest quality chocolate products with ORAC and Flavonoid values that are the best they can be, which will deliver the health benefits that clinical trials have attributed to dark chocolate. However, the ingredients, suppliers, and processes we use are the “heart of our business” and as such are proprietary.

Which of the Well-Beyond products are diabetic friendly?

Well-Beyond Nuggets, X Power Squares, XoBiotic Squares™, and the Chocolate Shake are sweetened with a low glycemic sweetener. However, for an individual with diabetes, it is always best that they consult their physician prior to making dietary changes.

I have received products that state “Sugar” in the ingredient labels. Have we switched to lower quality refined sugar?

Well Beyond has not changed the type of sweetener used in Beyond products. However, due to recent changes in FDA regulations, our labeling has been adjusted. FDA regulations state, sugar cane products with common or usual names (such as raw cane juice crystals) must be labeled as “sugar”. Although not all “sugars” are created equal, the use of common names may fail to reveal the basic nature of the food and its characterizing properties.

Why are there differences in the ORAC Value on the packaging?

Well Beyond strives for the highest standards in ORAC testing, and ORAC6 is just that. We test for six of the major free radicals found in the human body. Each product batch will contain a higher or lower ORAC score, acceptable tolerance is plus or minus 15%, at the time the batch was produced. ORAC scores may vary, however we do re-certify on a regular basis.

Are Well-Beyond products considered raw?

No. Beyond products are not considered raw.
